This is the 3 and last year that the Festival is dedicated to the Cape Traditional Singers and Brass Band in South Africa.
This is a reality of the Mitchell 's Plain suburb in Cape Town in South Africa
where half the population lives a situation of great distress
and about twelve million people living in extreme poverty.
The major part of the Grant is being expended on musical tuition,
particularly brass and drum instruments, which will primarily be used during the carnival season.
The Grant also covers items such as transport, meals and payments to musical tutors.
Furthermore, the Grant is being used for the purchase of fabrics and other material and the labour
used to manufacture the uniforms and outfits
that will be used for official events.
